About Me
I work with multiple disciplines to shape a story or concept.
I often do this with photography and film, but I also like to involve other digital and analogue disciplines, science and history in my work. In my work process I like to do research, learn and experiment. I have many opinions and just as many interests, all of which I(‘d) like to incorporate into my work.
An important use of art is, I think, as a medium of communication and translation. This aspect is especially interesting to me as someone with autism, as I know misunderstandings and barriers in communication can be very frustrating and difficult to overcome.
Art can translate and shape stories, experiences and perceptions for the larger audience and encourage a better understanding of the other.
Photography, film and stop motion were important tools for me as a child to process the world around me. As a teenager, technology and art became increasingly important and I developed a fascination for light, framing and movement.
At school I became interested in other forms of art, art history and combining science and art. My final paper on Fractal Geometry in Art & Nature and an animation competition ultimately made me decide to study Image and Media Technology at the HKU.
